Foy and Barton in their book Easter Rising carry a passage from the Easter Rising diary of Mr J Clarke, a shopkeeper from the Four Courts area, which mentions the shooting of a man near the Medical Mission/Four Courts later Wednesday/early Thursday. His body was left on the street until it could be recovered under a white flag by 4 civilians on the Friday afternoon.

His crime was being outside during curfew hours.

    No name given unfortunately.
