    Hi
I'm having trouble finding out what court we would be eligible for as regards a legal dispute.

We are a band (music) of 3 people. Independent. Not set up as company.

We are in a dispute with a music producer and intend taking it to court. I'm not looking for advice on this I'm just wondering if its possible to tell me if we can do this in the Small Claims Court or would it be District? The SCC would suffice settlement wise.

IE - do we qualify as a consumer or would it be business to business transaction (again, we're not set up as a business). The SCC couldn't tell me.

If I've overstepped the 'don't ask for legal advice' bit I apologise, but I don't think I am?

    Thanks
