Irish recognition of foreign qualifications

    How's it going lads?

    My friend wants to have his oz qualifications recognised in Ireland. Currently has diploma in electrical engineering. Starting an MBA later this year.

    Served an apprenticeship here but never got his trade cert but wants to get it basing his application on his past experience and current qualifications.

    Has anyone had any experience in this area?

    Who should be contacted or what organisation deals with recognition of foreign qualifications?

    Any input greatly appreciated!

    Your friend is not going to be awarded an electrical trade qualification unless he has passed the electrical trade exams.

    Electrical engineering diploma exams would not cover the same syllabus and therefore would not be regarded as a suitable substitute.

    If your mate needs the qualifications to get on the MBA it'd best to ask them first. They'll point you in the right direction.

    If your mate just wants to get them recognised just because you could ask the awarding body in Oz.
