hi there, im just looking for info some on getting started, i decided that now is the time to get driving, rather than last year when it was ohhh so much easier,

does anyone know how to apply for this "learners permit" is it the same as getting a provisional? as in just do the theory test?
are people driving under a learners permit restricted to 1l cars?

any info or links anyone can leave would be much appricated

Learners permits are not the same as a provisional, but there is no restriction on engine size. You need to be accompanied, just as before, but this time by a 2 year or more qualified driver, not just any qualified driver. Other than that its not majorly different to a first provisional.
