Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Very poor website. Search for DVD Boxsets and you'll get everything from boxed candles, boxer shorts and storage boxes and boxes of sweets :D

Quite a few stuff from in stores isn't available on line which is a shame but 25% off ITunes cards is great

Just went into the site and it had me logged on with 'welcome Deirdre'! I am certainly not 'Deirdre' and I didn't even log in!

Anyone know how long you have to pick item up in the store?

    This. Any ideas, anyone?

    This. Any ideas, anyone?

I did this before and the local shop called me to say it was available for collection so you can make your own arrangement with them in that regard.

Its not a case of ordering the item and going along to the shop and picking it off the shelf. They send it in a package from their warehouse as part of their deliveries to your local shop.

Perfect. So they can usually hold on to it for 2 or 3 days if you can't get there immediately?

    No problem I'd say.

Still sooooo slow this morning. I cant use it and wanted to buy my Xmas present online. Oh well, off to another website I go.

Why would someone release a new website, not properly tested, so close to Xmas ? I thought their old website was excellent

Exactly. I would have bought quite a few things but because it's so slow I've given up. I'm sure they've lost out on a lot of sales because of it.

They lost my sale anyway ! Who is in charge of this anyway ? What company is providng the service ?

if it was a mistake in the pricing, they don't have to honour it.

Not being smart but the stuff here is pretty grim and some of the items are only slightly cheaper than supermarket prices.

Agree 100%.. never seen the fascination with the place.. but still 25% is good discount for people pity their web builders are terrible

Getting the €50 itunes voucher for €37.50 is OK. Plus getting 25% off him and her gift sets is decent. Wouldn't touch it for clothes as you can get the exact same stuff on SportsDirect cheaper!

I ordered duvet sets and bits and bobs on the 12th and I've just taken delivery of them,,super fast delivery!!!

but hey it's an Irish company so that's why I prefer to buy in Heatons than in 'the supermarket' and I'm NOT even Irish :)

My gift card arrived today. (Courier - DPD)

Ordered a low value item for in store collection on Wednesday, no email yet to say it's been dispatched.

Website is a nightmare, on some of the footwear it just says size 'assorted' and lets you through to the checkout without specifying a size.

I ordered two orders in the same day

one came yesterday, still waiting on the other!!!

Heatons 51% owned by Mike Ashley of Sportsdirect and Newcastle United fame among others. So not majority Irish owned

Interesting, I selected store pickup but they didn't have it and then there was a missed DPD delivery on Friday so maybe they shipped it to me...

went in to the shop picked out some lanterns etc, took the codes
came home typed them in to search and long behold they don't exist!

happened on four items. after that I gave up.

the transition year students who designed the website, obviously missed some things to be added

Got my order but the quality is awful. Now I wasn't expecting anything fancy but the duvets are practically transparent and so flimsy  There's no way I would've paid the 50% off let alone the full price.

Can you take them back to a store for a refund perhaps?

Anybody who is waiting on a delivery of the itunes vouchers I have emailed them about my order and they said that there is a problem with the itunes in store that should be resolved by the end of today and that orders should be out by Thursday at the latest.

Not the 3-5 day delivery as promised and also I had to contact them to find out what was actually happening but at least I got a reply anyway!

Fatal error: session_start(): Failed to initialize storage module: user (path: tcp://127.0.0.1:11211) in /var/www/vhosts/heatonsstores.com/htdocs/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Session/Abstract/Varien.php on line 125

Keep trying. The heatons website is very slow at the moment. It took a few goes for it to accept the code.

Ordered a few items for in store collection, never received email to confirm it was available for collection. However called into store on the off chance and order was there waiting!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 28 schuey2me

I have ordered in the past from heatons with the free instore pick up and never get the email for collection, I just get a phone call from the store to say thats its in the shop ready to collect. I was also told that theres no timeline when it needs to be collected by.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,710 ✭✭✭uli84

i'd say if you are around the store just go and check if order is there - I've had this problem multiple times with Debenhams where order was there and I wasn't notified.

    Hi all.

Ordered iTunes vouchers on the 14th, to be delivered, and they arrived just now (courier in white van).

Like others here I only received an email when placing the order, never received another to say they were on their way.

    Regards,
    CaSCaDe711
