Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maxi 35/80 Boiler problem

    Hi,

My gas boiler has been acting up recently and seems to have a mind of it's own,

The flame will ignite whenever it feels and the result varies between the rads being on at random times or the boiler heating the water all day long. The only way to rectify the situation is to switch the boiler off. I have used the reset function on the dial but no joy. I have checked the digital controller to ensure it was not inadvertently sending a signal to the boiler but even when that was removed the boiler was still trying to heat the water.

I have opened the boiler and visually inspected the PCB but nothing appears to be blown oor damaged.

My question is whether the problem most likely lies in the PCB on the boiler or is there any other checks I can do before buying a new PCB?

any advice would be greatly appreciated!
