Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have inherited a G4 PowerMac 450Mhz system and want to hook it up to a tv, whats the easiest way to go about this?

I currently own a G4 Powerbook and have the mini dvi to tv out cable? are there similar cables available for DVI?

    thanks

Apple sell a DVI to Video adapter, but warn that this is only for use with a G5 or mac mini. I've had absolutely no joy using this to connect to either a projector or a TV. So it seems the only way to go about it is to find yourself a video card with decent array of outputs. I think most of the Radeon ones have at least an S-Video out.

well, if its a TV and not an LCD tv with a VGA connection, the only way to do it on the powermac is either by purchasing a graphics card with TV out, or purchasing a VGA to TV adaptor.

Of course the computer will be bareley useable on the TV as the res is 300 or so interpolated lines, but it will be fine for videos, slideshows etc etc.
