Can someone please tell me what the difference is between the 2 types of Miller cans in the supermarket.

1 is the black/gold MGD, but there is a silver/blue can also called Miller.
What's the deal there? I've tried searching online but not come up with very much.

afaik MGD is a pilsner lager, the stuff in the silver cans is their cheaper lager (still nice, only not as nice.)

You can get cans of rolling rock and I think bud for 1 euro each in O'Briens right now :P

Whats the deal with miller in the USA? There only seems to be MGD, no miller as we know it, is it all the cheap crap in the white can?

i'd sooner drink a pint of unpasteurised milk than a can of bud tbh.
Tuborg is by far the best cheap lager out there.

rolling rock aint half bad once its been in the fridge for a couple hours. think its bottles that are going cheap atm as opposed to cans.

Miller is just called MGD in America, as in Miller Genuine Draft.

Its amazing just how popular Bud is, even though it tastes like piss... just shows what good marketing does!

750 ml Trappiste, Abt Watou, and other 9-10% Belgian beauties for €6.50 in my local offlicence. 'Nuff said.

Strictly speaking Bud is not really beer, it's made from rice (as well as the usual beer ingredients).

My local Super Valu does 15 bottles of Stella for €15 - not bad at all.
As for the original question, I don't know - don't drink Miller.

In America you could buy 18 bottles of MGD for a tenner, now that was cheap! Best cheap beer over here, I'd have to go for Moosehead. Cheap, yet nice Canadian beer and only 7 euro for six bottles:ninja:

Mingin', you'd be mad not to pay the extra euro to enjoy the thrifty goodness that is Tuborg. I was shocked when I saw the 6-for-7 deal they had in the place on Camden St, when everywhere else has nothing but Dutch gold or some such urine.

We used to get crates of them for about €8 in Italy, which made them the staple diet of the Irish snowboarder! Nyom.

I found out what the difference is between the 2, for anyone who wants to know!

Miller Genuine Draft (gold & black can) is the most popular and is also
available in bottle and draught format in many bars and clubs.
The alcohol content (ABV) is 4.7%. This is brewed in South Main Street in
Cork. Miller Genuine Draft has been available in the Irish market for more
    than ten years.
It is also supported by a heavyweight marketing campaign which includes
    outdoor advertising and TV.
Currently the 500ml is on promotion in many outlets including the
supermarkets at €1.69 per can, down from its normal price of €1.99.

Miller Beer, or Miller Pilsner as it was known up until a couple of years
ago is available in Ireland in 500ml can format only. The alcohol content
(ABV) is 4.1%. Because of the lower ABV the price point is €1.48. We
import this can from the United Kingdom, where it is the most popular
Miller line. In the UK, it is available in draught, can and bottle format.
When people in the UK talk of Miller this is the product that they refer
to. Miller Genuine Draft is a much smaller brand and is only available in
    bottle format.
Pilsner refer to lagers that contain no sugar.

The carbohydrate content on both Miller cans are as follows:-

Miller Genuine Draft :- 3 grams per 100ml (17 grams per pint). Total
    calories 39 per 100ml.
Miller Beer :- 0.3 grams per 100ml (1.7 grams per pint). Total calories 25
    per 100ml.

In Miller Beer, all the sugars are fermented out, but there are still
calories there from the alcohol and a small amount of protein.

That's strange. MGD's really popular here. i thought it would be popular in England too.
