Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

From 3mb in 2014 to 2mb and now 0.5mb. I report it to Vodafone who confirm the faults and they pass it on to eircom who always take over a week to fix it. 7th fault this year. Call me cynical but I reckon eircom is trying to get rid of it's rural customers.

Update

Technician from eircom I know through the years coming out fixed it

Back to 2.5mbps (down from 3 before because of contention I guess)

Fingers crossed no more problems.

May not seem like much 1mbps reduction but when you are in rural Ireland running a business.
