Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dublin Bus Photo ID Card

I picked up an ID card fomr the offices on O'Connell Street last week, but there are no CIE/Dublin Bus markings on the card.

The front of the card has my Photo, Name, Card number and a date of issue. The back of the card has a signature space and statement that it is a photo Id card.

I am hoping to use the card as an ID for an annual Luas ticket.

Is it normal for the card to have no CIE/Dublin Bus markings on it? (Basically a White card with a photo and name on it.)

    Thanks

The photo ID card I got some years ago in the same manner (think the fee was €2.50) has the CIÉ broken wheel/roundel on the front and the words "Photo ID C.I.E., use only". Rear has Dublin Bus logo and Dublin Bus in writing.

Could it be possible that the card issued was perhaps a blank/misprint and that it wasn't noticed by issuing staff. It may be worth checking with Dublin Bus as to the lack of CIÉ markings.

Hope this may be of some assistance.

I asked the ticket checkers on the Luas yesterday if the card was good as ID and they said yeah.

Maybe it's a cost saving measure to print as little as possible on the card.
