Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

    I am looking to buy a steel workshop for land that we have. The workshop is 50 x 30 foot in size. I will need a concrete base. Does anyone know if this requires permission? Thanks

    speak to local planning office and or local architect but I would believe yes you do as you are building a permanent structure and you are also going to operate a business

    Yes. The fact that the workshop is one of steel is not material (no bad puns intended).

    As the above person says, you should speak directly to the Planning Office.

    In any enforcement proceedings, the burden of proof is on the developer to prove that a development is exempt from planning permission. Nobody should develop land without being confident that they can unambiguously discharge that burden, so in short, it isn't worth the risk.
