Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yep, was strong all weekend and never put a foot wrong. Well deserved win.

Race was a bit pants in the 1st half, ok towards the end. Surprised to see Bottas 3rd. Williams didn't seem to be anywhere all weekend plus that incident with Kimi didn't seem to affect him.

Come on, throw Hamiltons hat at him, Nico. :p

Rosberg left his helmet back on the car the twat :pac:

Honestly, if he drove like that all the time, he would be a stern match for Hamilton.

He needs to fine tune that.

Parc Fermé is great here! Stopping in the middle of the track!

    Loved that awkward handshake!

Jesus, Hamilton has a fringe like a pikey.

If "cap gate" had happened today, I would have enjoyed that.

Great drive from Nico, showed some winning spirit I wasn't sure he still had.

Would have been interesting if LH had stayed out rather than being forced to pit as it could have led to an interesting restart after the safety car

    Crap race
Great drive by Nico, he controlled Lewis very well
    Barely seen the two Mercs
Vettel had a very sloppy day
Good result by Bottas, with a side of revenge too

I will say this, that grandstand area at the last corner is something special, and it's an amazing spectacle that really makes F1 look like a proper show.

    Roll on Brazil :)

I don't know if any here watch NASCAR, but it is good tonight.
A couple of weeks back Joey Logano wrecked Matt Kenseth to win at Kansas. Now Kenseth at Martinsville just drove Logano into the wall as Logano was leading, really smashed up his car - it is a low speed track. Had to red flag the race.
    Crowd were delighted.
Oh they did mention Rosberg won in Mexico.

Token line at the end to keep on topic ;)

I see he snuck that in there. But what was he referring to exactly?

    -. . ...- . .-. / --. --- -. -. .- / --. .. ...- . / -.-- --- ..- / ..- .--.

Rosbergs mistake in Austin where he lost the lead, blamed it on big gust of wind... but in later interview might have back tracked a bit on that.

Also notice Lewis saying there was hardly any or zero degradation of the tyres near the end of the press conference... bit different to the teams view of the tyres being heavily worn

It was pretty obvious the Merc team were bull****ting and just trying to get both drivers safely to the end.

Ted Kravitz was down near the Merc garage when they told Hamilton the last set were down to the canvas, and Ted said they certainly weren't. Would be interesting to hear that post race debrief.

Lewis certainly not a happy camper about that particular radio message. I think it's great to see him still passionate about winning even after securing the WDC. Looks to me like Mercedes are trying to keep Nico sweet and on-side.

That grandstand area looks fantastic but apart from that the race was a bit of a snoozefest. Sergio is like a rock star in Mexico. It's brilliant for the sport.

The cars are so fast this year, but that may be because I'm fast forwarding every race. What a dull years racing.

Indeed, what a douche. I find Lewis incredibly obnoxious.

Between this and the "it's not easy being my team mate" comments (because he's such an incredible driver of course) it's really hard to like the guy.

Would love to see someone put the pressure on him in the championship. I think we'd see the same old cracks appear then.

Here's hoping Ferrari can make some gains over the winter.

The only WDC I don't remember being an utter dick when they were on top was Button. It comes with the mentality needed to win.

I'd add Hakkinen too. The gust of wind comment from Lewis was a bit of a sly dig alright.

Hill, Hakinen and Button seem like decent enough fellas that didn't act like complete tools in winning.
Hamilton really has stepped up the bullsh1t in the last couple of weekends.
His head is so far up his own arse now.

Its hard being my team mate.

Nico shouldn't be down. There is nothing to be down about. It's all good man.

True I guess, but I don't recall any WC being such a d1ck about their team mates.

Have to laugh at Lewis' "music career" too. I'm sure those around him telling him he's great aren't at all interested in using his money for a music label or anything.

And his column for the BBC reads like something a 16 year old valley girl would write.

Really wish the comparisons with Senna would end. I guess it's just the UK's media's spin along with Hamilton harping on about it, but apart from some statistics, there isn't much to compare in my opinion.

As you can tell, I'm not a fan :)

Going back a bit but I'd add Keke Rosberg to that group. That said he was never really on top in the season that he won and scored no points in the previous season.

I watched the PC video posted here and LH complimented NR for how well he drove all week-end and that he couldn't catch him during the race(mentioned how little downforce he had when he got close which we've heard from all drivers over the years). If that was Massa he'd be moaning his ar$e off about how it was some one else's fault blah blah and the 'new' Kimi not taking responsibility for that lunge in Russia, jaysus.

Yea, that jibe was maybe uncalled for but I think he was still upset about the radio message. He's not f**king robot lads. I actually like his passion and Id take him any day over Rosberg and those Schumacher-esque moves he pulled last year especially that crap he pulled in Monaco.

BTW I'm an Alonso fan, which is not a very enjoyable experience this year.

Seemed uncalled for alright. When I read the posts I was expecting the comment to be made in jest to Nico, but the way it was delivered just sounded crass. There's no salvaging that relationship at this point. I have a sneaky suspicion Lewis is pee'd at the team for the forced stop, and he might have felt they wanted them to finish in the order they were in. I think the second stop came in handy for both Mercs in the end
