Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been getting this train twice a week since last October. This week the train has been 4 carriages rather than the usual 8. This results in severe overcrowding on an already very busy service. Because it's a reduced length people who expect a longer train have to race back along a crowded platform in an attempt to get on the train. It's only a matter of time before someone gets injured in the push.

Does anyone know if the reduce train length has become a permanent thing?

It most likely is, given that Sligo services are now up to 8 trains a day now. However, the poor old railcars have been heavily overworked in the last few years so some of these sets may be undertaking a heavy service, hence a few being out of action.

There are a good mix of alternative Longford departures that may be of use to you; 16:00, 17:05, 17:15, 18:05 and 19:05. These leave from Connolly so hop on a DART and your sorted :)

I read that it's because of the new Phoenix Park station, which serves that line. That doesn't make any sense though..typically.

It's as likely to be because of the extra service from town at 7:30. The Phoenix Park stop has been timetabled since the December update.

No, not permanent - problem with carriages on Monday anyway saw it shorter. It was 8 again later in the week.
