RCD 510 for B6 Passat

Bought an 06 Passat today and I'm wanting to upgrade the stereo. From reading around it seems my best bet would be the RCD 510.

Where do I buy them? Who could I get to fit it? And is there any cheaper alernatives?

There are various Chinese variants you can get of varying quality.

Your best bet is getting an early RNS-510 with the Sat Nav. A version A or B should work in the car best. Really simple to fit, pop off the fascia, 4 screws hold it in place and swap over the connectors. Sticky back tape on the GPS antenna and stick it to something as high up under the dash as you can. You might need a new fascia surround too.

Just been looking around and tbh I don't really need satnav, I use my phone for that and it's fine I don't do much long distance driving.

Could I install any normal aftermarket double din? Such as this?
