Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been using OS X 10.10 it since late summer through the public beta program and it's running quite well on my 2011 Macbook Pro despite the occasional slow down.

How are those who are using it finding it? And what hardware do you have?

On an '08 MacBook pro it's been great. Nippy enough with a clean install on an SSD. I'd recommend it.

Looks completely awful compared to seeing it on my wife's retina machine though!

I know what you mean, the beta looked pretty messy on mine, it improved over time though.

Running it on a mid-2009 MBP and a 2012 MBA. No issues whatsoever. Probably one of the smoothest OS X upgrades I’ve experienced.

Running very smoothly on a 2011 Macbook Air after the .1 update - WiFi was a bit iffy on .0. Seems snappier than Mavericks now!

    Bluetooth audio still sucks balls.

What's wrong with it can I ask ? I have a 2010 iMac and a 2012 Macbook Pro and the Bluetooth audio works fine with headphones and speakers without issue. Both were fresh installs if that makes any odds.

All that aside Yosemite has been great on my machines, the only issues were software incompatibility namely Aperture and FCP. Both were sorted with software updates.

No issues, apart from Safari, which beachballs constantly. I use it and FF for separate emails.

    2008 iMac.

Actually now that you mention it syncing is a problem I've had. Using VirtualDJ to beat mix is sticky using BT 'phones. Audio is about half a beat behind all the time but with the headphones I have it's always been that way since I bought them - Philips SHB9000. Figured it was just a latency thing so only use them listening to music via iPod or smartphone.

There's a lot of reviews on the App Store saying the complete opposite. Upgrading was really smooth for me too.

Awesome. I've heard about people having wifi issues, it never affected me at all though.

That might have to do with all the translucency, Safari was really bad during beta on mine.

    Noticed a few bugs alright.

Wi-Fi regularly fails to reconnect automatically after wakeup.
Finder freezes when I plug my iPhone in, though this could be an issue with Dropbox (auto-sync for photos turned on).
    Some general slowness despite SSD.

Doesn't matter now anyway, my fans died & I'm moving to Windowsland.

Wifi seems to be misbehaving for most. What hardware did you have, and what Windows machine are you getting?

10.10.2 is just out and claims to possibly fix the WiFi issues - it hasn't for me or a lot of other people.

TBH I didn't have any issues with the WiFi until this update - now I do :D.

I am thinking of reverting back to Mavericks, my 2 issues are 1) Wifi and 2) Company VPN does not work with latest, and they are very slow to resolve.

Currently on 10.9.5 on my 2009 MPB with 2.26Hhz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. Is Mavericks worth downloading at my end?

Up to yourself really. I personally wouldn't be in a hurry to upgrade yet...if I was to do it all over again.

I still have to downgrade...just need to get some free time.

I just got an email about the public beta for .3 - has anyone tried it out yet?

Installed it this morning; seems to be a lot smoother than before. Haven't tried out the new Photos app yet though.

Im having trouble with Airdrop between a mid 2014 15" rMBP and a late 2012 iMac. I can usually fall back to the legacy mode but its really annoying to see something that once just worked be so broken. Oddly enough it can temporally fixed by removing and setting up iCloud on both machines - I guessing it's some sort of bug with the way new Airdrop discovers.
