    Somebody in the history forum posted this link. I'm finding it fascinating to look up places I know and superimpose them with the ordnance survey maps of 1837-1842 (6' map) and 1888-1913 (25' map). It's pretty cool to see what the map of your home looked like in 1837! An invaluable historical source in my opinion.

    The widespread appearance of railways between 1837 and 1888 is pretty interesting feature.

    It's interesting to see buildings where there are only green mounds nowadays and know that they were once windmills etc.
