Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's a shame it's not a two hour show with a few different panels from different walks of life.

If it was an all male panel there would be a major row. Shows how men are emasculated in Vinny's world?

Honouring one of the most monumental day in Irish political history is wrong? And a show that Vincent obviously greatly valued..

Mans all female panel shows how far ahead this show was of anything on rte or anywhere else.

Revenue should have collected water charges, the government made a massive mistake.

Yes. They'll be announcing Joe Duffy as the new host 30 seconds from the end.

    What is this positive discrimination?

One of the things I really admire about Vincent is ... he was one of the first journalists to ask Haughey where he got his money from, that took balls back in the day when many people thought Charlie was a God.

This show makes me realise just how one-dimensional Vinny and his programme are. There is not even a token representation of the majority opinion in this country.

They should put on some classic Play TV at Midnight for old times sake.

Or Flathan could bring in a cake and some lucky numbers for Vincent.

Disappointed with the panel for the last show and the format, it should have been a 2 hour special with a broad spectrum of guests who had appeared and made an impact on the show during its life-span, a kind of remembrance or homage to the tumultuous period in recent Irish political history that the show document

Instead we get a half-hearted look at Ireland post-crisis in the echo chamber of liberal lefties (of which I am one) and their self-congratulatory positive discrimination...and to round it all off a couple of drag queens reading out tweets. Much like the show, this final episode has just given up and ran out of steam.

It's tame enough. A bit like the interview with Leo last night.

Next there will be a media levy on phone bills/phone credit to subsidise the media.

The problem with the physical newspapers is the news is at best half a day out of date when you receive it and normally is 24 hours plus.

Who's taking over (after they've shown all the best of Vincent Browne's Shows)?

I'd like to see Ivan Yates have a go.

I'm not a fan of the Journal.ie, do you they break any news themselves or are they just in the business of sharing news from other publications.

Brexit will mean no movement of goods between IRL and NIRL, the sooner clowns here in government can see that the better, otherwise dodgy imports in to NIRL will flood our market.

you can sense the fear of brexit from the public by watching a few debates from mcgill

Those lovely people who aren't really in the IRA at the moment are getting out of the laundered diesel game and getting ready for bonanza brexit smuggling. Huge money to be made once that 'border' goes up again.

Yes a proper border will make smuggling much more profitable than the current one. They might move from diesel laundering in to having sheds near the border where you can charge your electric car with northern electricity :D

That may be the case but it hardly takes the same resources as a media outlet that has to source and pay for the news first.

Vin should have cut the show down to once a week or once a month for a 2 hour special.

They are already planning it AD, them boys know there's likely to be some kind of border and customs, and that means money will be made from getting around those controls.
