Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You sound like a bunny boiler....Ring up the directory inquiries service. "Hello I'm looking for so and so in so so"

    You can also use google....

I don't think its unreasonable to ask for more details as to why before you get a response?

I've heard you can get information on who owns a rented house from your local county council. (Assuming the rent is being declared to revenue of course). I've never tried this myself though.

    Have a look here.
The Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB) offers a dispute resolution service to landlords and tenants. Any agreement reached with the help of the PRTB or adjudicated by the PRTB is legally binding on both parties.

The dispute resolution process used by the PRTB is confidential and non-confrontational. Landlords, tenants or other parties who have been directly affected (e.g. neighbours) can initiate the dispute resolution process. Landlords must be registered with the PRTB to use the service but tenants can use the service even if their landlord has not registered the tenancy.

Buy the latest TomTom directory. it's a big book of everybody and everything. Expensive so try 'borrow' it from somewhere or read in Easons if they have it.

Apologies if not the correct forum.

If they're 'on the books', the PRTB is the way to go.1
Mneh. You could have linked to your previous thread and saved everyone some time and got more helpful answers.

Your thread in Legal Discussion is more likely to be of benefit to you.
What they were trying to point out in a hypothetical manner: Proof of service is normally required, however, if they or their agent (Who is acting on their behalf and knows where he is) are dodging registered mail, then substituted service is the way to go - proof of postage is all that is required. It is assumed that he will get it and if he doesn't, then he's in trouble. They've bypassed the little trick he's pulling.
Talk to a solicitor if you haven't already.

Your local library will have a copy of Thom's Directory that they'll let you look at. If he's lived at an address for 5 years or more he'll be in it.

Where is the rent paid to? If the tennant is lodging to a landlord's bank account, you could write a letter and ask the bank to forward it to whatever address they have on file for the customer. They won't be able to actually give the address to you cos of Data Protection Act, but they can forward the letter on. (Might even frank it for you if you're nice!)

That's not to say they'll have the up-to-date address for him either, but it's worth a shot.

If it's for claiming of tax credits, you don't require the landlord's address, or PPS number, anymore.

we have already been to court a couple of times but nobody has shown and its been put back again and again. the tenants and letting agency have refused to accept the registered post.a summons has been sent out by the judge himself to the landlords agency but while were waiting the problem continues,i figure the best way now is to contact him directly and sort it out.

gimmeabrk07, make a complaint against the offending tenant, if necessary getting an injunction. Go to solicitor.
