Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Actually I thought it was an interesting piece on the Marian Finucane show this morning about the Maeve Binchy Travel Award and somebody called Henrietta McKervey using this award to go to the weather stations mentioned on the BBC shipping forecast. It was described as a "national lullaby" at 12 minutes to 1am and apparently is listened to by tons of people, to whom the info on it is not relevant at all!

    I am not familiar with the BBC one but I have to say I find the RTE one fascinating, and I have nothing to do with the sea/ maritime!

    Its my own cue to get some shut eye, on LW its got a fuzzy foggy late night allure!

    the bbc one covers a wider area from scandanavia down to the bay of biscay. rte only covers irish waters. Read a great book called Attention all shipping where the author visited all the areas that are mentioned in the forecast.
