Nowhere will refuse business these days. Good idea to phone first to check stock.

Some of them will tell you over the phone its trade only.
Don't mind them. Turn up with cash in hand and you won't be refused.

This looks like good equipment. Is it expensive compared with other makes?

yeah the few visonic powermax models i installed in familys house etc have worked fine very few issues, simple ish and easy to set up ,,maybe battery in outside bell box being only problem i have incountered and arent that cheap but with the new power g two way systems ie the powermaster 10 and 30 they say batteries last alot longer, time will tell .i really like the pir with camera in the new systems you can confirm via ur mobile phone if its a false alarm or a real intruder..

Anyone know why visonic is getting rid of a lot of gear ?? They seem like a great kit ?

How do you mean getting rid of?
Which kit are you referring to?

It tells you why they are getting rid of it. Its equipment thats being discontinued.

Still a lot of gear :/

That does not inspire confidence that a company can just stop making equipment and give a couple of months notice to unsuspecting end users and installers. If I was an installer I would be staying away from the older one way equipment regardless. How can they just give 3 months notice of this and think it is fair?

They give 3 months notice, but they will still honor guarantees. This happes all the time in all aspects of electronic equipment. A lot better than the HKC solution with Astec where users really were left high & dry.

These are discontinued kits and other lines not used in other countries any more. 3 months is short notice but I would think they are using the newer two way system over the one way.

    Question for security installers ,experts

How Can you tell between one way and two way Visonic Panel (mother board) or is there any way you can check?

The never PowerMaster system are two way.
The older systems Powermax Complete back are all one way.
This is all in the documentations off theses systems and not on the motherboard.

I understand that but if you put an old PowerMax Complete mother board on new PowerMaster 30 panel.
how would you prove that panel is actually two way?, from what I have seen both mother boards look the same

The software would be different. You would not be able to programme one way devices from the panel.

It has it on the screen saver when you power up the system.
Menus have different options compared to the Powermax also.
