The earth is surrounded by an ancient etherial field which does not let humans travel further than the moon. There is a hob goblin living on the other side of the moon who uses excrement from his "space chickens" to power the field generator. Using mind control techniques he controls the world using television and the media to portray humans as a violent and egotistical species, idolising fools. His reason for living is human suffering. Anybody else believe in such a goblin?.

I have no evidence to support my theory.
