    Hi,

I have a Porsche 944S2 (1991) which I have to put through the NCT in a few weeks. I do most of the little adjustments to the car myself and am reasonable confident that it will pass the NCT.

However, if it fails on something I cant do I will need to get it looked after properly. If any one knows of an independent specialist in the Dublin/Kildare area could you let me know as I would rather not pay the sky high prices in the Porsche main dealers.

    thanks!

You could try Ken Bolger in Ardclough, just outside Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

Barry Wheelan, I don't have his number to hand but the Porsche Owners Club or Golden Pages should find him. Best in the country, mainly works on 911s but is a Porsche specialist.

Gordon Kellett motors - seems to have alot of respect from 911 owners anyway.

Would a 944 really require a Porsche specialist?

It's only a car after all. I saw Edd China removing a 911 engine and box. He also works on mechanised sofas :D

    Henry Ford,

You are probably right. I do a lot of stuff to it myself with basic tools and the original workshop manual. But I am not a mechanic and there are lots of things I cant do. the reason I was wondering about a specialist is that I have asked a number of local mechanics and none of them want to go near it as they have never worked on a Porsche before.

Thanks everyone for all the names.

The engine is the front of them anyway, can't be that hard to have a look at. get a non-main dealer to have a look at it.
