Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Water temp issues from immersion - UPDATE

    Hi,
    Hoping someone can help me.

I have a gas boiler. Water is heated by immersion, Rads heated by gas.

Two valves one tagged: "heating", one tagged "Rads"
    One Yellow lever also present.

at the weekend, my shower was fine, nice and hot didn't have to adjust it much just stayed around the middle mark, between hot and cold - plenty hot.
Had immersion on for two hours, had hot water most of the days no bother.

then i moved stuff in around the boiler, and noticed a fault on my gas boiler saying not enough pressure. I had accidentally put a lever into the wrong position and must of hit the red valve. Put lever back to "on" position and turned valve marked "rads" one way - no luck, turned it the other (all the way), bingo gas heating is back working fine.

However, after having immersion on for two hours for hot water - my water isn't as hot, and I keep on having to increase the heat setting when having a shower.

    UPDATE

Ok those valves have nothing to do with water, simple issue is: turn on shower lets say midway between hot and cold - after a bit, it starts going luke warm, but if you shift it a bit it goes back to being nice and hot , then that goes luke warm and well you know the rest

this wasn't happening at the weekend. any ideas? hot water from taps is fine.

I took off the cover of thermostat last night and couldn't find a reset button, but I increased the temp from 55 degs to 65 degs.
This morning shower situation the same. Next action is to put immersion on for an extra half hour to see is it purely timing. But like I say weekend was fine.

    any thoughts welcome
