Win 8 lost accounts Help

During a long update the system stalled. I rebooted and can only access via administrator account. All my files are on my standard account which just disappeared. Months of work. Anyone any idea how to tackle this one

If you open up file explorer, (by right clicking in the bottom left cornerof the screen) and look for c:\Users\ does your missing username appear there as a folder?
