Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tie him to a firework rocket and light it. Much more exciting and plus its what he would have wanted. Giving a whole new meaning to the saying "going out with a bang!"

Put a drop of whiskey in the fish bowl. A mate told me this before and it worked. It revived the goldfish.

Sweet little fishy in his bowl
Such a small thing with a great big sole.

He swam around in his little glass space
But now he's gone to a better plaice.

At his loss we weep and whale
and tell our grandkids his happy tail.

On fish god hooks he did bite
and from fishy heaven shines his ray of light.

    Fin...

    Requiem for a fish.

Stop all the clocks, turn off the telephone.
Stop the cat from eating Mr Fish, with some cheap whiskas chicken on the bone.

"You said he was sleeping Dad", was the cry from young Darrcow.
"You lied, you lied, he has died, he has died!".

No more shall Mr Fish nibble on his fish flakes,
He is gone now, forever swimming in circles on the great lakes.

He said goodbye to Nemo, Nemo's Dad and Dory.
As he faded from this world he smiled to himself, satisfied with his life story.

With a flick of a fin and a twist of a tail,
Mr Fish decided enough was enough and off on a journey he did set sail......

He died quickly and peacefully. there he was swimming round his bowl he then slowly turned upside down then one final flick of his tail then gone. the big question is how should i send him on his way to fishy heaven. flushing him down the toilet seems trashy.

Forget him. He's forgotten you already.

Everyone's calling this fish "Mr." or "he" ... how do you know it's a male? Just how do you "sex" a goldfish? Did he have a teeny weenie? :(

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

Well, its not too far off a burial at sea.

Just make sure you pull the flag out, and give him a military salute as he swirls.

I think a simple ceremony would be best, nothing to flashy or fancy.

    Similar to this.

They got a bit crabby when you opened a second thread for Mrs Fish!
(were they married, BTW, what happenned to herring?)

You must be grieving on an unprecedented scale.

Clearly, they were rays of happiness in your life.
It saddens me that this grief has been thrust uprawn you, out of the blue.

But hold your head high, and keep walking boldly through life - remember some people only manage to limpet after a tragedy such as this!
