Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HTC DESIRE S

Hi guys, my sister gave me her HTC DESIRE S phone running android 2.3.5. Everything is working fine apart from one annoying issue - the top quadrant of the screen (where the notification bar is) does not seem to be working.

She brought it to one of those Chinese run phone repair shops in Dublin and they had a good luck at it and found that they could not repair it/deem what was causing the problem with the phone. Could this well be a software issue or is it most likely that the hardware side of it is bunched?

I'm quite out of the loop with android as I have not had one for years. Is there any sort of engineering mode where you can use the factory troubleshooting?

    Tried a factory reset?

Just performed a factory reset there and the problem still occurs.

I'd say its most likely a digitzer issue then? Weird how the phone repair place was not able to fix it
