Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As far as I can remember the car needs to be in tax. Sure it was on here before. No doubt one of the regulars will be in to either confirm or correct.

My car tax was out by 18 months and had no problem going for test and re-test!

Mad that you can NCT an untaxed car when it's illegal to drive it to the centre and back without valid tax !

Thats mad cause its a 04 Celica and its the first time im NCT'ing it since i got it in the north in April 08.. I could always tax it even though it technically should have been NCT'd in Jan 08.
Another mad thing is when I Nct it in August its gona be due again in January.

What would happen if i didnt NCT it till Jan???

What about untaxed cars that are legally brought to the NCT by means other than driving ;)

No you don't - that was done away with, years ago, due to NCT strike.

This happened to me with car no.1 It bloomin' didn't happen with car no.2 You can either wait a while....slightly dodgy, or, as suggested by the (very) nice lady in the NCT centre.........book it now.........for Jan. That way, if you're stopped, you've got a date, just waiting to go.
