Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last night I did a run and it showed up in Connect as Dublin 4 Running. Cycling to work this morning still showed up as Kilkeel cycling.

Anyone else seen any changes ?

Good old Kilkeel, one if the most popular running spots in Europe I'm told.

I usually run in Untitled but this afternoon Garmin Connect says I ran in Cork City northside.

I did Dublin 18 cycling today. Will check the running again tonight. Hopefully we shall never hear tell of Kilkeel again (unless we actually run there for reals)

Just got Dublin 14 running. Not sure how I feel about this.

Garmin are probably testing the locations tags on Connect for Ireland. Kilkeel shows up normally as location tags work in the UK and Kilkeel is the lowest point in Northern Ireland to Ireland.

My runs in D2 and D4 used to come up as Kilkeel also.

    Weird.

Am I the only one that was in the dark about Kilkeel, I though this was a setting I had changed and I couldn't find it to change it back.

It changed a few months ago from untitled to Kilkeel. Was happy to see D2 yesterday after upload.

Just got a Fenix3 last week and wondered what the Kilkeel tags were all about!

Doesnt matter now as the Sync by WiFi has suddenly stopped working...

3 out of the last 4 runs have been in D24, but it seems quite random. Some nights I run in D24 and Kilkeel.

you all know you can turn off the location in settings/display preferences / activity names and go back to having 'untitled' runs... but maybe there's no fun in that :)

I'm back running in Crossmaglen :(

I think that could be right by George...:-)

Ballintemple and Rochestown have now moved to the north side of Cork City. Those Garmin lads have a lot of power it seems.

I posted this in the main Garmin questions thread yesterday. I did get elevation and map info though.

Downloaded another batch, of 4 this time.

Two runs from Wednesday and Thursday of last week are downloaded as Crossmaglen. The exact same routes, from yesterday and today, are listed correctly. I've no idea what the logic here is as to why last weeks are down as Crossmaglen.

Be thankfull you weren't running there back in the early 90's..

Bah! Was great for a while there but last 5 runs have been back to Kilkeel.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

It's an odd one isn't it. I've had a few incorrect ones the last while, but they were marked as Crossmaglen, 1 day after each other. But every other run on the same route is marked correctly.

If I run with my 310xt it's Untitled. If I run with my FR235 it has a location. Even if I wear both together.

My first Kilkeel run tonight, what a place :-)
