    BOOM

    3/3 :-D

And I came home early from Pride! Too old for partying

Perhaps we ought to refine the boomies.

    One pointless answer = Boom
    Double pointless answer = Kaboom
    Triple pointless answer = Kablammoooooooooo-boom

    :'-(

    Stupid tennis

The way I look at it is that instead of repeats (which I hate with every fibre of my being) we get 2 weeks of tennis which I like :)

Now if we come back to the repeats we would have had now anyway then that changes everything as I could have been watching the tennis in the comfort of knowing that once it was over things were back to normal.

I would rather 10 repeats than 2 weeks of tennis

Make a note of these more obscure tennis players for a future Pointless round - Stan Wawrinka and Victor Estrella Burgos :D

I saw two gorgeous-looking woman today in the park, basking in the sunshine. I approached and asked them, "Hey, what percentage chance do I have of taking one of you lovely ladies out some time?"

They both looked at each other and then back at me. "Zero" they said.

    I began to smile.

"Why are you smiling?" one of them asked.

"Yeah," said the other one. "We said 'zero'."

"Yeah, I know," I said. "I just really needed a pointless answer today."
Just kidding. Of course they both said '100 per cent.'

That's not really pointless though. We asked 100 people if they thought MNG had a chance with them

    0 said Yes
    100 said no

    :-P

random question about the final round question a couple of weeks ago.
the question was name the capital of any US state that borders Canada, any capital of a country that borders Russia, and something else...

They accepted Juneau for a state capital (Alaska), just wondering if they would have accepted Warsaw or Vilnius for country capitals....

    Alaska does border Canada.

Both Poland and Lithuania border Russia.

Only one capital bordering Russia was pointless

    Why???

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,133 ✭✭✭FloatingVoter

The only thing they won't accept are incorrect answers. That one was a minefield - plenty of people would have gone for Seattle - > Washington and Anchorage - > Alaska ...both incorrect. Olympia is the state capital of Washington.

    Why???
ah, i just remember a similar question a while ago where they didn't accept countries bordering exclaves like Kaliningrad, (and it was the first time I thought of Alaska as an exclave)
