right, found a damp spot on bedroom ceiling - up into attic found damp insulation and water underneath on foil topping of floor. looked up and timber damp underneath what i think is the bay window roof valleys. anyone got any ideas whats wrong and whether its a diy project - is it old flashing that needs redone or can…

any recommendations for local competent tradesman appreciated.

If you can get up there yourself or reach out the dormer window, check that any of the valleys aren't blocked with moss or weeds, water might just be backlogging and seeping in under a tile/slate.
