Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It would be madness not to start Valencia.

I wouldn't mind a 0-0 draw with little goal action and no controversy and easy on the nerves but i doubt it:(

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

I've been so nervous about this match, tbh I hope someone wins either way, because if it's a draw I'm going to be even more nervous for the final two games of the season, which will quite possibly kill me.

I would say there's nothing definite about the United lineup.

    Thinking about it, this wouldn't surprise me one bit;

    DDG
    Rafael--Evans--Ferdinand--Evra
    Carrick--Scholes
    Valencia----Rooney
    Young
    Welbeck

That's the team I really hope Fergie goes with!

With Rooney dropping deep it's compact enough to deal with City's midfield but if we need to it can be switched back to an offensive 4-4-2.

If Giggs starts the game I will explode. I wouldn't mind seeing him come on as a sub on the left wing in the last 15 mins to add a bit of composure but that's it.

Also no Park please, not even on the bench!

Really hope this is a good match after all the buildup. I think it will end in a draw though. It's been one of those seasons where it looks like it will go down to the last game.

Not ****stirring at all, even young's own manager had to pull him up on it and that was made public.
Would you like me banned because I don't agree with everything said here by united fans?
Mind you I have been, by an overzealous mod so I reckon this will get me the 6 month ban I've been threatened with...Ah well!!!!

It's probably the fact that you have focused on two United players and no City players that makes it look like **** stirring. Balotelli has been far more dangerous to fellow pros this year than Scholes, hence his bans. City have also had players who have dived and are capable of diving, yet you focus on Scholes and Young. Not up to me to tell you what you should and shouldn't do but you may as well be honest when you do it.

I agree with you there, Balotelli is a disgrace to the game on and off the field!

You reckon Nani is a guarantee? The only guarantees for me are Rooney, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Evra, DDG and Ferdinand. The rest of the places are up for grabs. Welbeck will almost definitely start as well, actually.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,239 ✭✭✭KittyeeTrix

Good lord, most of them will dive when they get the opportunity......
I've often said it when I see a player struggle to stay on their feet in the box and ultimately get nothing out of it that they'd have been better off going down

If they don't they get nothing and if they do they get castigated.....

Can we all just agree that there are divers in all teams and there will most likely be diving on both sides and move on from it:)

As long as our guys (City) get something for a dive other than a yellow/red card I could care less:D

Be nice to see this match thread not descend into the ususal fecking tit-for-tat rubbish.

Valencia will definitely start and with rumours of Nani limping out of training then I wouldn't be surprised to see Young start either with Nani on the bench.

Young starting could be key for Utd, he covers Evra well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    Man United
Nani will cover if he starts, mark that down, the dressing down Fergie will have given him for the 2 goals he let Hibbert go for will make sure of that.

I prefer Valencia and Nani to start with Young as the option to come from the bench as he can play left, right or centrally if required

If City win it will be an absolute clusterf**k of bullshìt,if United win it will fizzle out and die quite quickly i'd imagine, unless there's a match deciding controversial decision....
So in the interests of everyone I think a United win is the best outcome.
If you could get on to Mancini and sort that out the forum would be forever grateful ;)

How can Man u not want to draw this game,
Surely fergie will play a cautious game , keep it 0-0 a must for as long as possible

I think United have to try and go for it, they don't have the quality to hold out for 90 minutes against the City attack.

What's he doing with himself??? He's taking in the wage and is more interested in the horses!! The likes of himself does my head in!! What's he doing at Utd?? He's not even relevant!!

Its not his own fault he is hampered by injuries, when he is fit he is a model professional. And the fact that he was happy enough with a pay per play contract sorta contradicts your whole point.

He is probably involved a lot in coaching the forwards and tactical decisions behind closed doors while he is injured.

Your opinions are pretty delusional, you are creating flaws just to warrant giving him abuse yet you piss moan and cry if any United supporter posts an opinion on the Liverpool superthread, give over.

You just reminded me in a couple of posts why it was I stopped posting here in the first place.

    Bitter much?
According to SAF he is a fantastic role model for the younger players.
He is also a great at training helping out the younger strikers.

so fricking nervous ahead of this match. After last weeks defending im a bit worried but still think we will at least get a draw.

Conceding 4 against Everton will have had an impact alright, but I think it will be the opposite of what you are saying, I expect a much better defensive performance tonight on the back of that lapseloltastic one we had v Everton.

United to draw first blood, City to hit back, City to take the lead in the second half, then try to stick the knife in rather then hold on to what they have and United to equalize with a Rooney header to make the game 2-2 and to sicken they ****e out of the City fans and "neutrals" alike :)

Oh and he will be offside

    scored by Tevez.

    don't forget that.
Carlos Tevez has given Manchester City a huge boost ahead of their Premier League title decider against Manchester United - by admitting he now wants to stay at the Etihad Stadium.

"Everybody at the club shares the same goal, Roberto, me, the other players and all the staff.

"I'm an ambitious person, I want to work hard and win things with City. That's all that matters to me as a player and a person."
