Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Draw
I fancy city to win tomorrow,

I also dont buy into this United always win these big games type of thing United lost the last massive game they were involved in where it was a "must win", I'm talking about the Basle game. I know its a while back but I've also seen united almost switch off at times recently and if you do that at any stage City will score.

Another thing that I dont get is united will win cos they know how they win the league, does that mean United are the only team that can win a league for however long. And dont get me started on the you have to lose a league to win a league. I'm a liverpool fan look how that worked for us.

Finally City 3-1 but united to win the league cos they know how and city have to lose one to win one ;)

It's the team with the best home record "vs" the team with the best away record.

    Can't wait for it tbh.

It will boil down to who has the cool head and killer/clinical attributes.

That's why I think even if UTD only hit 4th gear then then will escape with a draw .

So I'm going with a score draw.

Haven't a notion what the score will be tomorrow!!!

    Can't vote as I'm afraid if I say a

    - City win, i'll jinx them...
    - United win, the jinx won't work and they'll win
    - Draw......wouldn't be happy at that at all....

    Draw
I have to fancy City tomorrow nite. Lots of goals 4-2

I will cry if Giggs starts. He's a legend of the club, but he isn't having a good season and we can't afford passengers in this game. Prediction: A score draw, united to surprise everyone and score first, city to go ahead by a quick 2 goals, then united hanging on and nicking the draw in the 97th minute :P

    Valencia for young perhaps?

There's no way Valencia won't start if fit.

It would be madness not to start Valencia.

I wouldn't mind a 0-0 draw with little goal action and no controversy and easy on the nerves but i doubt it:(

I've been so nervous about this match, tbh I hope someone wins either way, because if it's a draw I'm going to be even more nervous for the final two games of the season, which will quite possibly kill me.

I would say there's nothing definite about the United lineup.

    Thinking about it, this wouldn't surprise me one bit;

    DDG
    Rafael--Evans--Ferdinand--Evra
    Carrick--Scholes
    Valencia----Rooney
    Young
    Welbeck

That's the team I really hope Fergie goes with!

With Rooney dropping deep it's compact enough to deal with City's midfield but if we need to it can be switched back to an offensive 4-4-2.

If Giggs starts the game I will explode. I wouldn't mind seeing him come on as a sub on the left wing in the last 15 mins to add a bit of composure but that's it.

Also no Park please, not even on the bench!

Really hope this is a good match after all the buildup. I think it will end in a draw though. It's been one of those seasons where it looks like it will go down to the last game.

Not ****stirring at all, even young's own manager had to pull him up on it and that was made public.
Would you like me banned because I don't agree with everything said here by united fans?
Mind you I have been, by an overzealous mod so I reckon this will get me the 6 month ban I've been threatened with...Ah well!!!!

It's probably the fact that you have focused on two United players and no City players that makes it look like **** stirring. Balotelli has been far more dangerous to fellow pros this year than Scholes, hence his bans. City have also had players who have dived and are capable of diving, yet you focus on Scholes and Young. Not up to me to tell you what you should and shouldn't do but you may as well be honest when you do it.

Nani will definitely play if he's fit

I agree with you there, Balotelli is a disgrace to the game on and off the field!

You reckon Nani is a guarantee? The only guarantees for me are Rooney, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Evra, DDG and Ferdinand. The rest of the places are up for grabs. Welbeck will almost definitely start as well, actually.

Good lord, most of them will dive when they get the opportunity......
I've often said it when I see a player struggle to stay on their feet in the box and ultimately get nothing out of it that they'd have been better off going down

If they don't they get nothing and if they do they get castigated.....

Can we all just agree that there are divers in all teams and there will most likely be diving on both sides and move on from it:)

As long as our guys (City) get something for a dive other than a yellow/red card I could care less:D

Be nice to see this match thread not descend into the ususal fecking tit-for-tat rubbish.

Valencia will definitely start and with rumours of Nani limping out of training then I wouldn't be surprised to see Young start either with Nani on the bench.

    Draw
Young starting could be key for Utd, he covers Evra well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    Man United
Nani will cover if he starts, mark that down, the dressing down Fergie will have given him for the 2 goals he let Hibbert go for will make sure of that.

I prefer Valencia and Nani to start with Young as the option to come from the bench as he can play left, right or centrally if required

If City win it will be an absolute clusterf**k of bullshìt,if United win it will fizzle out and die quite quickly i'd imagine, unless there's a match deciding controversial decision....
So in the interests of everyone I think a United win is the best outcome.
If you could get on to Mancini and sort that out the forum would be forever grateful ;)
