I have to pick what subjects I'm doing for leaving cert this wednesday. I'm planning on doing computer science and was wondering if there's any subjects that are necessary for that course?

So far i'm planning on doing

    Maths (H)
    Irish (O)
    English (H)
    French (H)
    Art (H)
    Woodwork (H)
    Physics (H)

are these a good choice? because I'm confused as to what I should do :P

Is applied maths an option? If it is I would do it aswell as Physics.

And go check the entry requirements for the courses you are looking at.

If your hearts set on CS, you should have a look at the portfolio course in DCU. You don't need points it all based on software you have written yourself. It's new this year so it will be intresting to see how it turns out.

Look up the course on the website of the college you want to do it in.

You don't really need anything other than a C3 in HL Maths or something, a science + matriculation usually
