Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I have just purchased a Sky Magic Eye. My main TV with Sky box is in sitting Room. I want sky eye for a TV im going to install in the playroom. There is no TV point in this room. Do i need a Cable for Sky eye?? I dont want to be messing with cables. I assumed this was a wireless gadget. does anyone have any ideas without having to be running cables from one room to another.

    You need to run a coax from the RF out socket on the sky box to the other room.

    I would double check that the sky eye actually works first though as it doesn't work on all boxes.

    The 'eye' is not wireless, & it's nothing to do with sending pictures & sound to your playroom TV either, all it does is get the remote control signal back to the Sky box, so you can control it from the playroom.

    The Sky box outputs* the pictures & sound in a form that can be tuned in by the TV's analogue tuner (if it has one, some models sold by Argos don't), & a coaxial cable is used to carry these to the TV, & carry the remote control signal back to the Sky box.

    Of course there are also wireless video senders & remote senders available, if you really don't want to run a cable. Cable is cheap though.

    *The latest Sky boxes don't have the necessary RF modulator onboard, & need another add-on, the IO link.

    Sorry for hijacking but installing a Sky eye at the moment and having a small problem. Can change channels etc through the sky eye but have no picture on the second TV. Have tried installing channels a number of times but cannot seem to tune anything. I know it's probably something dimple but anyone got an idea of where I'm going wrong

    it has to tuned in like old tv's . your tv should have a search for signal, i have mine set to channel 1

    Got it sorted. Was only doing a digital scan but tried a digital and analogue scan and everything turned out cushty
