    Hello there all,

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot here. We're a new theatre group working in Dublin and we have a show going up in November. We're hoping that some of you kind, generous, obviously alluring people might be interested in funding us ?

The show we're working on-Shadowskin- uses puppets, animation, live music and dance to tell a very old fairy tale in a very new and different way. Everything that you see here was built by hand by our team and if you check out the link below you can see more images and concept art from the show at:

    http://www.facebook.com/WTangoTheatreCo

If you go to the link below you can help fund us. That's at

    http://www.fundit.ie/project/shadowskin

and believe us, we'd really like to hear from you. We're very near the end of our funding run on fundit.ie though, so you don't have much more time to get involved... But if you want to throw a few bob our way we would certainly appreciate it. And if you want to get in touch with us and let us keep you up to date with the show we'd appreciate that too.

So go ahead- you know you want to...

The lovely people of Waterford Youth Arts are staging Brecht's infamous Happy End (a sequel to The Threepenny Opera) in Garter Lane Tues 28 August - Sat 1 September, 8pm.Tickets: €12 (€10 concs), group rates available. There's a special preview night rate of only €7. Not to be missed and a great night for everyone! For more info check out https://www.facebook.com/events/410726705650109/ or https://twitter.com/HappyEndPlay

"Set in the gritty streets of 1920s Chicago, Happy End tells the tale of an unlikely love affair between a virtuous Salvation Army worker and a hard-boiled gangster. This steamy musical pairs Bertolt Brecht’s biting and witty social satire with a thrilling score from Kurt Weill and with some of his most popular show tunes, Happy End later became the source for the well-known musical Guys and Dolls.
Happy End is directed by highly acclaimed Jimmy Fay who has a string of hit shows to his credit. In recent years he has been associate director with the Abbey Theatre and has directed the work of Sam Shepherd, Roddy Doyle, Mark O’Rowe and many others. He has also directed the hit commercial comedy shows based on Paul Howards’ Ross O’Carroll Kelly character.
With the band El Higado No Existe live on stage throughout featuring Kevin Power, Joe Meagher and friends, expect a musical with a difference as they bring a 'Tom Waits' feel to the night. Featuring 20 local teenagers from Waterford Youth Arts with choreography by Trish Murphy and video and set by Neil O’Driscoll, the show will have an energy, a sense of fun and biting menace. Happy End packs a political punch closing with a song in ‘tribute’ to the rich and powerful of this world."

Kilkenny's longest running amateur Theatre Group (KATS) present two plays by Tom Murphy - On The Outside and On The Inside. These are companion pieces set outside and inside a typical 1960’s Irish dancehall. The plays will explore themes of redemption, anger and love while never losing sight of what made these experiences so reassuringly Irish. The plays deal with the highs and lows of the time, whilst still holding a mirror up to modern society.

On Thursday night we have partnered with Cois Nore Cancer Support Centre. Cois Nore are fundraising to provide a much needed cancer resource centre in Kilkenny. Its a very worthy cause so be sure to check out their facebook page.

Tickets are €10 and available from The Ormonde from tomorrow morning. You can book your tickets on 056 7750200 or from Cois Nore for the Thursday night show.

Ballycumber Amateur Drama Group will perform ‘Canaries' by Bernard Farrell on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th January in Ballycumber Hall at 8pm and in Tuar Ard Arts Centre, Moate, for four nights from wednesday 30th January - Saturday 2nd February.

'Canaries’ is arguably Farrell’s funniest play with three Irish couples travelling to the Canaries on a package holiday in a bid to escape their everyday surroundings. Everyone arrives in the happiest of colours and the best of form, however things soon start to go wrong, with hilarious consequences, as the weather isn’t what is expected and the holiday makers end up having a holiday that they will never forget but not necessarily for the right reasons! It’s a very Irish play about a very Irish group and the audience will recognise a few characters they have come across on their own holiday experiences!

    €10 / €8

Conerstones is a New play being put on in smock alley Sunday 3rd march.

My daughter is playing lead with only 3 other characters involved, It revolves around Kiera: a 16yr old shoplifter from the inner city, with dream of making it big on x Factor, Having left home she ends up in a squat in Dublin city centre and passes her day shoplifting and doing ''favours'' in exchnge for cash for up and coming stock brokers in ISFC.

She is introduced to a shady scumbag drug dealer who starts to manipulate her into doing the same ''favours'' for friends but instead of cash gets smack as her reward.

The director originally put on a 20 min piece last year and has extended the script to a full play. It really is hearthbreakingly funny, smoothered in flat dublin accents, and inner city wit. The director really believes this piece can go on the road and hopes to have it staged in new york later on in the year if she can get funding etc.....

My daughter is just finishing a full time course at the Gaiety school of acting, so if you wish to support young Dublin-Irish acting talent then you got to make your away along to this hard hitting, funny story of what the city can do to a young gutsy Girl.

Tickets are 10e, pm if you need more details.

FRINGE FUSE is a brand spanking new monthly scratch night where up to 5 works of no longer than twenty minutes will be tested out in front of an audience in FRINGE LAB on the last Monday of every month.

FRINGE FUSE takes place in Studio 1 at FRINGE LAB. Kick off is at 7pm sharp and the running order is as follows:

John Rogers will present a 20 minute excerpt of his current work Decision Problem [Good Time for Questions] –- a creation myth for the digital age.

Oisin McKenna will be performing an excerpt from his new project GRINDR / a love story, a piece about twitter, sex and frantically trying to connect.

Aoife Connolly will be directing a section of Erin Hug‘s new play, Blocking the Noise of the Outside World –- a comedy that investigates the dynamics within protest movements, and the absurdity of getting your voice heard.

Dick Walsh presents a reading of a work in progress called Some Baffling Monster, a play that explores ideology in the context of the family drama.

WANT TO COME ALONG TO SEE THE WORK?

You are more than welcome! Admission is €3 (includes refreshment) and the capacity is limited to 40 people (admitted on a first come first served basis). There will be a short 15 minute interval after Oisin McKenna and the night should come to a close at approximately 9:30pm.

Applications for our March FRINGE FUSE will be opening soon.
