A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Rock-Cena
cost me about 200 quid, was very annoyed but probably shouldn't have just bet on who I wanted to win...

I don't understand those who backed Bryan, he was always going to lose. He's an absolute idiot and there's no way he was gonna retain the title two main events in a row.

The other matches, besides show and team Johnny, could have genuinely gone either way.

Taker was never gonna lose, the dvd sales of 20-0 would have alot to do with that aswell!

You're right, however I always had a little doubt over that match because I was thinking HHH is probably one of the only people that could realistically end the streak, and it was his last chance saloon (his third time facing Taker at WM) so there was no way I'd bet on it with the short odds available.

He increased the odds drastically in accumulators. A Bryan win would have doubled the money (metaphorically) on a lot of the groupings.
Furthermore, it was possible that Bryan would win to keep the smarks happy ahead of a Cena win which would have annoyed them.
AND there's usually some heel wins somewhere. AND the Bryan/Sheamo feud never took off.

Wasn't sure if I should bump this old topic (and maybe rename it to a more general title) or start a new one.

Paddy Powers have opened up betting for Extreme Rules :D

    Cena 7/4 vs Brock 2/5
    Cody 4/6 vs Show 11/10
    Punk 4/7 vs Jericho 5/4
    Orton 1/3 vs Kane 2/1
    Sheamus 2/5 vs Bryan 7/4

Putting money on Show to win at those odds. They aren't doing accumulators yet, but they took a while for Mania to open up as well.

Threw a tenner on randy at 4/9 and five on jericho.

Jericho was a bit of a moment of madness, chanced it on the basis theyd hardly bring him back to lose 2 in a row. In hindsight its probably a stupid bet. Randy im fairly confident of

    Anybody do any betting??

You were able to live bet all through the event. It had me losing my mind. :D

Cena after the Lesnar beating went as far as 5/1 so I tried to put 10 on him and it changed back to 11/4 then Lesnar got him down again so it went to 3/1 so I put 10 on 3/1 and won 40 but I was already down 20 so made 10. Was good fun.

    Anybody do any bets??

would have been all easy money.
I wasnt getting great odds on them anyway had i have even done it. :o

I love that PP are doing these all the time now. Hope they do accs. for this one though.

Big Johnny is winning I reckon, based on the stip involved. He is the closest to garunteed I would say...

Yep we're taking betting on #WWE Over the Limit on Sunday night! Multiples will be available in the next 24 Hours!

    PP tweet earlier folks

    Awesome.

Though the odds on some people seem to be dropping quickly.

It's the DQs that will mess us round though; for example, I know AJ is going to get involved in the Punk/Bryan match and think Bryan will win, but there could be a screwy ending :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭ciano316

CM Punk and Johnny L Double is a winner.

    Multiples are live now.

Looking at Bryan, JL, Beth, Kofi/Truth, Orton and Kane. 55/1 odds.

Punk and Bryan are to continue there WWE Title matches after OTL so I'm guessing Punk wins this one.

    Im going with

    Punk
    Johnny L
    Sheamus
    Kofi/Truth

    10e = 60e back

    Leaving out Divas.

There's a line from the Smackdown spoilers which has me wondering...

    Spoilers from Smackdown
Punk tells JL that next week, JL will be fired and Punk will still be champion.

That's kind of making me wonder...

I think that's more to do with JL than with Punk, think they are really trying to sell the idea of JL being fired. Don't see Punk dropping the belt yet, it is only the second event since mania and last year at this event all the title holders held on to their titles.

That's just my thoughts. Another thing to point out that at Extreme Rules on Paddy Power there was live betting so you might get a good price on Johnny L about to be beat and Big Show showing up during the match.

Another thing everybody who's entrance was second at extreme rules won their match... Including Cena & Cody Rhodes who were both underdogs.. So during the live betting this might be something to look at.

Blarg. Bryan cost me mine :(

On the upside, i recouped my 1€ loss and won an extra 1€ on JL. So I ended the night in profit, albeit a small one...

I actually only opened my Paddy Power account last night, for the PPV, I've never been into gambling to be honest, but they deactivated my account because "They couldnt verify my age" which sounded like a total scam to me, because it only happened after i had put an extra 300 on big johnny( had an accumulator for 40, 10 on Beth and 50 on Johnny) so i rung them up to see what the hell happened and i needed to post them photo id, bank statement and my credit card number, so i just asked them to close the account and return me the money, its actually not back in my bank acccount yet, so it should be up to 3 days they said. Still dont trust them tbh it seems like they only did it to not have to pay out on a 300 euro wrestling bet!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,900 ✭✭✭Eire-Dearg

Nope, that's protocol. You have to provide proof that you are you when signing up to any gambling website.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,083 ✭✭✭waltersobchak

Yeah i completely understand that but there is no way in fu*king hell i'm giving any online gambling site, a photo copy of my passport, a bank statement and my credit card number..

How do you plan on withdrawing any winnings

Paddy Power is hardly some random fella on the street, it's the biggest bookmakers in the UK & Ireland. They're making enough money anyway, I don't think they plan on scamming anyone.

Been gambling on there site for over 4 years and have never been asked for anything like that and I have placed a 1k bet in my time. Seems pretty weird that you would be asked for a credit card number :S

Either way, you should still have your bets in your account history. Meh, a bit skeptical.. Couldnt imagine someone putting 350 quid on a pre-determined outcome.

    Meh. Well done anyway.

I'v never been asked for credit/debit card details ever on PP.com.

You can withdraw your winnings through any shop. I withdraw all mine to my bank account but it was never a compulsory option that they asked for.
