Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I am transferring from NUI Galway to IT Sligo in September.
I don't know anyone there so I am hoping to meet lots of new people.

What kind of events would help with meeting people?

There is a very good network of clubs and societies and you should join some of them.

    http://itsligo.ie/campus-life/societies/

There is a list, there are a number of societies which might suit. Also you can become a member of the knocknarea arena gym which also might be worth considering.

THe students union website is also worth checking out.

Also when you get to the college various events are given on the noticeboards.

Take note that the clubs and socs page is actually outdated - There are a lot more non-sporting related, just call into the Student Union for more information when you get the chance.
