Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I've upgraded to 8.1 - it's not the same as 7

I got a cracker of a deal on a pc, but it came with windows 8.. I gave it a year, annoying as **** with its popup widget app crap everywhere, upgraded to 8.1, still annoying as hell, even though i have turned it into win 7 as much as possible

No wonder businesses and companies don't touch it with a bargepole, it's designed for tablets, i mean, the standard proceedure is to hack the start button so it's like windows 7 again, what does that tell you about the operating system

Anyway rant over, simple solution for me, bin it and use windows 7, just looking for a cheap copy of win 7 - saw a bargain one day of it down to 29 euros

Microsoft are adding the start button into 8 very soon,

I love windows 8 myself as it's much faster than 7 for me and I personaly like the metro system.

All of that can be turned off tho.

Mine is set up to boot straight to the desktop, metro is disabled completely.

Apps tabs are all disabled. i.e none of that crap in the corners.

Classicshell installed, so start button and layout exact same as 7.

    Theres not 1 difference now.

Other than its a hell of a lot faster, more stable and will have a longer support run.
How would I go about doing that? Thanks for the help in advance!

Update to W8.1 if you havent already, then right click on the taskbar, go to properties, navigation. Then just tick/untick whatever you want.

If you want a start button like 7, google classicshell, download and instal. Fairly straight forward.

    Thanks!
