Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone here every had that done? Was it a success? I was just looking at an old report(2000) that read out that 53% needed a THR within a 2year period.

Its a procedure surgeons perform, in an attempt to create new bone growth within the ball of a hip joint, before it collapses. Basically once dead bone is detected in the ball, which can be the early stages of avascular necrosis, they drill out sections, from the core of the ball, all going well, this stimulates new bone growth.

would this not leave a void within the ball and weaken it further?

That's kinda how it works, removing the dead bone stimulates new bone growth with new blood vessels.
