Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I brought my car to a quick fit type place where I was told I needed a new exhaust. €180 fitted with 1 yr guarantee (Also tried telling me shocks were gone, asking for another €180/€360 can't remember) .

Not long after the Engine warning lamp came on and the oil warning lamp a little after that.

I brought the car to another place for a service, when I got the car back I was told the oil level sensor was gone. Needed a new water pump etc.

I got myself one of these after running some checks [p0030 errors] & researching on the net etc, it turned out the original place that did exhaust never disconnected the battery thus the ecu threw errors for the sensors, this is my 1st season messing with car stuff, but it's really opened my eyes to the money they try take from you.

A simple disconnect of battery and reset of fault codes, has me on my way to an NCT with a saving of a lot of money. I will be reluctant ever using a garage for a service ever again.

You want a job done properly diy!
