    Hi folks,

I'm wondering what documents you can get that prove your ownership of your house. Can I actually get the deeds, or are those kept by the bank until the mortgage is paid off?

So, how do I prove I own my house? What documents can I get and who do I get them from?

    Thanks

A simple letter from your solicitor should suffice. The deed to your house is probably a good few pages long.

Did you get a copy of the land registry from your solicitor when you moved in, showing you now the owner? Im sure that would be acceptable.
