    So this is something that's been troubling me for some time. How does this ridiculous thing come about? It just seems to appear.

    And it's always blue, no matter what colour top I'm wearing.

    What is it and where does it comes from?!* :(

    Have you ever seen Return of the Jedi ? Towards the beginning they are trying to drop Luke and Han down onto this hole in the middle of the dessert with these tentacle trying to draw them into this buried creatures mouth.

    The hair on your bellybutton is doing the exact same thing with the 'fluff', because R2-D2 isn't there to save the day.

    A serious answer:

    Bellybutton fluff is created by the fibres from your clothes. The fibres from your pants, underwear and shirt mix within your belly button. (don't ask how pant fluff gets up there. I don't know.)

    Now you're wondering 'Why is it alayws blue?'. Well firstly, it's not always. However most of the time it's blue because the majority of the clothes we wear have blue microfibres which add up in the bellybutton.

    If you were to wear a white pants with a red t-shirt (Or vice versa), and white underwear, you would get pink looking fluff.

    oddly enough i found a ball of fluff in my bellybutton today, and i usually dont. 'mazin really... mine is always blue too. i like when i discover a full bellybutton.
