Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Things You Do To Stop You Feeling Scared/Worried?

Does anyone else ever do things to stop them feeling scared?

For example, if I have to walk home in the pitch black I quietly sing to myself, always calms me down (nearly got mugged at Easter, sort of freaked me out)

Anyone else have any weird things to stop them worrying?

I count in a random number

    like 2,4,6,8,.......

    or 3,6,9,12.......

    or 7,14,21,28.....

It keeps my mind off what I'm supposed to be worrying about for a while.
Started doing it when I was 6 and never broke the habit.

The odd time I'll try to quote laws of physics and chemistry from memory too

I stop paying attention to the media and go out and live my life.

Don't you mean a random sequence? Those numbers are anything but random.

Wear a full suit of armour, bit clunky, you get a lot of funny looks, but comforting at the same time.

All the more reason why you'd want to keep your wits about you tbh. Always imagine somebody is about to pounce on you, that way you will always be on your guard. I suggest you swing your arms around all the way home.

Thanks Liz for pointing out my error

I meant a random number to count in sequence

I tried that, but took out an 80 year old woman.... the guilt :(
