Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just thought I'd give a heads up in case anyone interested in economics wants to come along. The UCC Economics Society will hosting a conference this Saturday 2nd February in the splendid Aula Maxima, UCC. We've arranged a number of prominent speakers in the field of economics including Tim Harford, Megan Greene and our very own Seamus Coffey. This is our flagship event of UCC Economics Week 2014 and was launched on Monday night by David McWilliams. Tickets are selling fast for what is sure to be an excellent day and some are still available for purchase on: http://www.uccconferencing.ie/product/ucc-economics-conference/ (10Eur/5Eur for UCC students) More information can be found on our conference website: http://www.ucceconomicsconference.com/

That sounds really interesting! Think I might head :) You don't have a Facebook page that I can keep up to date with by any chance?

I suspect this is it: https://www.facebook.com/corkeconomics

Can't make this, and it's a pity to miss Seamus Coffey - an economist who starts with facts is a rare and splendid thing.

    cordially,
