Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Closing window/door cavity

We are filling our 200mm cavity with pumped bead insulation. My questions is can we close the cavity opes around the doors and windows with insulated plasterboard and then let the bead insulation be pumped right up to this or is there a reason we need to close cavity with a solid insulation board in the cavity and then cover by the plasterboard?

and what is your planed air tightness detail between the window and plasterboard?

I was thinking of using a strip of airtight membrane or an airtight tape if I can find one wide enough - taping one side to the window (before plasterboard goes on), bringing it across cavity and gluing it to the internal leaf which is to be plastered with the Gypsum airtight plaster before being slabbed.

Did you get to the bottom of this, What did you do in the finish? How did you fix the insulated slab down into the cavity or did you put it in during construction?
