Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, hope somone here can help with this one.
A 2004 audi A4 1.9 tdi started to shake under coming to a stop. I changed front discs and pads - no difference so i changed rear disc and pads and still no better.
The shake seems to be worse on when brakes would be cold but does not happen all the time.
The steering wheel does not shake, it seems to be the car itself.
I had no problems changing disc, no seizes pistons or anything like that.

did anybody ever come across anything like this?

It could be the front control arms. I had this problem on my Allroad and a new set of front control arms fixed it. There's a fair bit of stress on them when braking so if there's any play in the ball joints or bushings you'll feel it.

I hope its not this as i had 2 front suspension replaces about 6 months ago, the mechanic had a bit of hardship removing the pinch bolt so we decide to change the 2 upper control arms on each side.

It could be the lower ones then if they weren't changed. I can't think of anything else if you've already done the disks and pads.
