I was all set to wait for the iPhone 6s until I saw the Oppo One Plus One, now I'm thinking of going back to android.

One thing I found handy with iOS was the notes, reminders and photo stream cross shared via iCLoud, like you make a note on the iPad and it would sync to the phone as well.

It's been ages since I was on Android, what apps will do this for me via Android with minimum hassle if I got the phone and an Android tablet later on?

    Gooooooooooogle.....

    gMail, no explanation needed.
    gCalendar, same
gDrive, All your files in one place(including photos if you want)
gDocs, Now part of drive, word docs, spreadsheets etc
    gMusic, one library, all devices
gContacts, never lose a contact again. Add to one, add to all
    Hangouts, chats across devices

Basically android does it all in house, dont need 3rd party. Dropbox is there if you want it to.

As the guys say, android basically does it all for you, and also on to desk tops/laptops via the various chrome apps.

Anything that's cloud based synchronises across all of your devices.

Here's a sample of what I have on mine.

Google Keep - Simple Notes - Android apps and website.
Wunderlist - Lists - Android apps and website.
Microsoft OneNote - Android apps, website, PC App
Trello - Project management - Android apps, website.
OurGroceries - Shopping list app - Android app and website

My photos all upload using dropbox and Google +.

I think those apps have an advantage in that the apps are cross platform and some have websites so they're accessible even when you don't have your device. I'm not entirely sure but doesn't iCloud try to lock you into Apple.
