Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hot Water Expansion Tank Leaking after new immersion tank put in:

    Hi all,

We had a new immersion heating tank put in. I'm guessing that the thermostat was set very low and therefore there was a lot of hot water sent to the expansion tank in the attic, practically every time it is on? Am I wrong in this assumption?

It has now started to leak slightly, just where the metal piping enters the plastic tank.

If the thermostat is re-set, will this leak stop, or do I just need to change the tank and ballcock when I'm at it? Its due a change.

I just think that had the immersion thermostat been set higher the leak would not have started...last thing I need at moment is another outlay of cash...

    cheers..
