Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fairness, it's a lot easier on the ears than the constant Corkonian insistence on liking boys.

I have a tutor who does say right this is the sitchiation when he's giving out about something, so about once a week, although he also mentions the troubles, the fact that he was in a band and that he's from belfast at least once a week as well.

Anyone else I know from up north avoids the word at all cost.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,239 ✭✭✭✭KeithAFC

Gerry Kelly likes to use it.

I've been going out with a girl from Belfast for 7 years and I've never noticed her say this. In fairness though...I don't know what she's saying most of the time.

    I am from Northern Ireland.

I never use the word situation in normal conversation.

The only time I use it is to take the piss out of people who expect me to say it all the time. :)

    Situation.

Think it came from the peace talks, everytime Martin McGuinness or Gerry Adams were seen on the news there was a new sit-choo-ayshun then that fuppin toll troll thing picked up on it, pain in the hoop cause everyone asks you to say it now
