    I have a tutor who does say right this is the sitchiation when he's giving out about something, so about once a week, although he also mentions the troubles, the fact that he was in a band and that he's from belfast at least once a week as well.

    Anyone else I know from up north avoids the word at all cost.

    I've been going out with a girl from Belfast for 7 years and I've never noticed her say this. In fairness though...I don't know what she's saying most of the time.

    I am from Northern Ireland.

    I never use the word situation in normal conversation.

    The only time I use it is to take the piss out of people who expect me to say it all the time. :)
