Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sky - no phone line, new account

    Advice please:

A flatmate moved out of the house and cancelled the Sky sub in her name (full package). Sky would not accept a simple name / bank change on the previous account before cancellation. She left us the dish, box etc.

As there is no phoneline in the house we have been offered the following options:
    Sky Tv ·
Take out a 2nd hand contract. Receive viewing card ONLY plus monthly rental thereafter of €64.50 for full package.
·Special offer of ½ price full package for first 2 months may NOT be applicable.

    Local Sky dealer
    · New contract – installation fee + EMC levy = €90
    · €64.50 for first month for full package
    · €32.25 thereafter for 3 months.

Is it possible that we could purchase a card of some type and avoid a monthly rental direct debit with Sky, as we have all the equipment still? Sky would not accept a simple name / bank change on the previous account before cancellation.

We would need Sky sports for the man of the house also. ANY advice greatly appreciated, thanks very much!

The equipment is not rented at all.

You rent the right to view the encrypted transmissions.

Much excellent TV works with no card.

Packages of "renting programs" start at about 20 Euro.

Only Sport is much more expensive.
